Responsibilities

  • The Accounting Manager role for Latin America coordinates the execution of the end-to-end record to report process for the Company in the Latin America region in coordination with the local Controllers and led by the LA Controller and CAO.
  • Along the local Controllers needs to ensure the Latin American operations financial statements are reported on time, correct and posted in the right timing under the B-IFRS rules, and in addition works to standardize, simplify and optimize the processes involving record to report but not limited to.
  • Drive strong interaction with R2R, Tax, Internal Controls, SSC and Corporate Reporting to continuously improve our control environment, standardize policy and procedures, provide oversight, guidance and advisory for accounting related matters to the Businesses in Latin America operations.
  • This person will lead or coordinate LA Accounting and controls projects based on a prioritization defined by a Road map aligned with Corporate Controller guidelines and Company strategy.
  • Actively participate as a member of the LA Finance Organization from a thought and knowledge perspective fostering standardization, best practice sharing and adoption and an integral view of the business through the design, implementation, tracking, benchmarking and ongoing review of business and process KPIs.
  • Drive strong control environment and change management in LA. Good alignment and interactions with Internal Audit
  • Direct the accounting transactions in LA and oversight of Journal Entries, accounting reconciliations and other required analysis during the periodic closings for many areas including fixed assets, costing, leases, manufacturing costs, sales activities, intercompany, etc.
  • Perform the Controlling area opex budget and monitor results
  • Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Economy or Engineering
  • Knowledge in Accounting or External audit firms
  • SAP, advanced excel knowledge, good handling analytics in Tableau or BI.
  • Proven ability to problem solving, identify key issues and root causes, and propose solution alternatives.
  • Expected to exercise sound judgment and operate in partnership with Country, Corporate and SSC Teams
  • Fluent English and Spanish, Portuguese is a plus.
