Job Purpose and Impact

The Data Analytics and Insights Sr. Consultant will leverage data to uncover new insights and understanding of Cargill business activities and performance.

We seek a professional who will maximize the value of data and be a storyteller to outline the specific opportunities to improve business outcomes and how to achieve them.

Key Accountabilities

  • Translate business problems into actionable data driven solutions
  • Collect, integrate, and organize data to support reporting and analytics
  • Develop Reporting and Business Dashboards to improve understanding and aid in making smarter business decisions
  • Perform data and statistical analysis to identify new data-driven insights and value opportunities
  • Provide subject matter expertise to support Cross-Cargill data visibility and consumption capabilities and work with minimal direction, using additional research and interpretation to identify issues or problems
  • Independently handle complex issues with minimal supervision, while escalating only the most complex issues to appropriate staff
  • Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business (Accounting and / or Finance), IT, Data Science, Analytics, Computer Science or equivalent
  • Work experience with SQL, Python, R, Power BI, Tableau, or similar technologies
  • 5-7 years of business experience in one or more of the following areas : Business Intelligence, Data Analytics, Data Science, Data Engineering, Business Process, IT or comparable experience
  • Fluent in English
  • Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree
  • Demonstrated experience with converting data to information and helping to impact change and identifying value opportunities
  • Experience communicating results and new ideas convincingly to others and selling the value
  • Consulting with diverse stakeholders on complex data and analytics problems
  • Background with Food, Agriculture, Financial and Supply Chain Organizations
