This position is required to manage a highly automated operation, it requires an experienced Automation Engineer that will lead the automation team through a change in diverse technology applications.

Responsibilities :

  • Manage, plan, execute and control the automation capital investments for the new CPS plant, ensuring compliance with company requirements, approved budget and timeline.
  • Supervise all automation activities with the Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM) to ensure critical and non-critical manufacturing equipment are fit for use from an automation standpoint.
  • Provide high level automation technical & engineering expertise to CPS Plant and all the automation stakeholders (General Contractor, OEM, IT) to ensure also all shop floor networks (Manufacturing, Building Management Systems) are maintained serviced and kept on safe working condition.

Ensure all shop-floor networks are operational and safe for use from an equipment standpoint.

  • Supports commissioning and validation processes, verify the automation performance comply according the process and building design.
  • Ensure vendor’s capabilities to support automation performance in the region.
  • Problems solving related to project development, commissioning of new equipment and processes, operational environmental aspects and safety related aspects.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance with safety and environmental standards.
  • Ensure design compliance with all relevant internal requirements including, local regulatory, GMP, safety, environment.
  • Assess global controls standards and analyze technology changes for compatibility and determine direction to manage the life cycle of automation hardware and software.
  • Analyze and troubleshoot complex control systems, network communications, and software to resolve issues impacted production.

Utilize process data to perform problem solving and root cause analysis.

Support the develop of the training capability plan for automation for the new CPS plant. Ensure the quality of the training and competency needs, develops or sources appropriate training materials or skills to ensure that all competency gaps are closed out effectively.

Requirements :

  • A minimum of 6 years working with manufacturing automation systems.
  • University / Bachelor’s Degree : Electronical Engineering or related
  • Advanced English
  • People management and supervisory skills.
  • Experience in leading a high performing team of specialist technical experts.
  • Experience in Integration between Plant Floor Systems and ERP Systems.
  • Experience in Allen Bradley PLC programming and control networks.
  • Experience in Managing Industrial Networks.
  • Virtual Server configuration and troubleshooting skills.
  • Knowledge of Access, VB and SQL programming languages.
  • Knowledge of Batch Software Systems is desirable
  • Experience of Visualization, Simulation and Data-logging systems.
  • Experience in PME Platform from Schneider is desirable.
  • Knowledge of Rockwell Applications (Factory Talk Platforms / PLC Logix Family) will be an advantage.
  • Knowledge of Wonderware applications (WAS / Intouch / Inbatch / Historian / WIS) will be advantage.
